Often we are asked “What makes EASEL different?” Sure, we’re a
rescue, but there are a lot of animal rescues out there. It’s a legitimate
question from supporters and donors. So let us tell you just a few things
we do to assist homeless animals and people within our community
that set us apart from other rescues in our area.
U We don’t discriminate against the animals we accept based on health,
          age or breed.
U Our organization is the first to manage a municipal shelter, embracing a
          no-kill shelter policy.
U When we have available space, we collaborate with other New Jersey
shelters facing overcrowding; relocating animals to our shelter and foster
homes to prevent these animals from being euthanized. ADOPTION CENTER
U We provide veterinary and pet welfare assistance, including spay/neuter,
vet care, medication and food, to low income households. 7 days a week
U Dogs and puppies in our care, are provided behavior training preparing 12 noon - 3pm
them for their new home. And each new adopter can join us at our Wednesday Evenings
training sessions to continue the process. 5pm - 7pm
U Our Cat Behavior Counselors have a 90% success rate with cats mis-
behaving in their homes. This reduces the number of cat surrenders 4 Jake Garzio Dr.

U Because the majority of our team is volunteers, we do our work with (609) 883-0540
love and compassion simply because we want to help. info@easelnj.org

It's EASEL's 10 Year Anniversary. We have grown exponentially thanks to
dedicated volunteers, donors, and adopters. We've achieved over 3,000
      adoptions, 5,750 spay/neuters, 3,500 cats Trapped-Neutered-Returned, and
provided vet care to hundreds, with our community assistance program. Our
future goal is to build a state-of-the-art adoption center in Mercer County.
