KIDS CORNER: Written by kids

When the puppies fall sick, puppy mills get rid of them. Usually when
the workers get rid of a puppy, they have the following diseases
         according to the ASPCA:

         • Epilepsy
         • Heart disease
         • Kidney disease
         • Deafness
         • Eye problems (cataracts, glaucoma, progressive)

And when they come to the pet store some diseases are:
         • Kennel cough
         • Pneumonia
         • Mange
         • Fleas
         • Ticks

These specific diseases are harmful to a puppies life and within 2 weeks or even a couple day’s, a puppy
         perishes from disease.

How can we avoid the situation of adopting from puppy mills?
1.Pet stores that are in business with a puppy mill, get you to buy the puppy saying,
"licensed USDA breeders" or "local breeders." But that actually means puppy mills.
So always keep in mind that puppies or dogs who are sold in pet stores are from
puppy mills. That way you can avoid putting money in a worker’s pocket.
         2. Puppy Mills put ads online talking about puppies that are on sale. If you are
thinking about adopting keep in mind that whatever you see on the internet is not
always true. Puppy mills, as I said before, concentrate on the sales and earned
money. They don’t care about the puppies so whatever they put on their ads is not
true in logical terms. To the right is an example of a puppy mill ad.

To conclude this article, Be grateful you’re alive and get treated kind. But
remember that thousands of puppies get left behind.
