1 Introduction
O’Brien Geotech Ltd has been commissioned by Grant Wharry to undertake a geotechnical investigation and assessment for the proposed subdivision of 6c Myrtle Drive, Omokoroa. This report outlines the investigations undertaken and provides advice on the geotechnical aspects of the development.
2 Site Description
The site is located towards the end of the Omokoroa Peninsula, on the south eastern side. The site location is shown on Figure A below and the site layout is shown on Figure B.

Site Location
The site consists of an elevated platform which contains an existing house. Below the house there is a 6m high slope and low lying level ground. The lowlying ground has an elevation of between 2.5 and 3m above Moturiki Datum. The slope has a typical gradient of approximately 28 degrees, with a steeper section near the base, where some excavation into the slope has occurred.
