East Central Alberta Catholic Schools Accomplishments ECACS Three-Year Education Plan and Annual Education Results Report
We believe that:
Together with home and church, we respond to the needs of each student by providing quality learning experiences rooted in our Catholic faith.
Preparation for Lifelong Learning, World of Work and Citizenship
The Work Preparation Measure increased from 86.1% to 87.4%↑, a good rating, exceeding the provincial results by 3%. The Citizenship measure increased to 87.5%↑, another excellent rating exceeding the provincial results of 82.9%.
Parental Involvement
The Parental Involvement Measure increased from the previous year to 85.4% ↑. The Division is in the process of reimagining engagement practices that align with AHS guidelines that still allow for school, parish, and community stakeholders to foster a collaborative faith-based community focused on supporting a quality Catholic educational environment. The Division is very fortunate to have parent councils who are actively involved in supporting and enhancing school activities throughout the school year.
Student Achievement
Due to COVDI-19 instruction and assessment restrictions implemented in the spring of 2020, ECACS and all school divisions in the province could not complete the second-semester Diploma and PAT assessments.
ECACS school leadership teams and staff did an outstanding job under the circumstances of switching to an online and blended delivery format with very little time to accommodate the changes in instructional delivery and assessment practices.
