This play is a little complicated and requires many scenes.
For some background; I was a very newly minted

manager in the Materials and Processes department of
Douglas Aircraft in Santa Monica, and along with my
metallurgical responsibilities I was also responsible for
the Failure Analysis Laboratory and other laboratory

facilities.

This is presented in different scenes, so you have to use
your imagination a bit:
