Frank was a pitcher at Englewood High School and went to Central Florida
Community College in Ocala on a scholarship, but his interest turned to criminology.
After attending the Police Academy at Jacksonville’s FCCJ north campus, he worked
with the Jacksonville Beach Police Department. He decided to work for United Parcel
Service (UPS), even working overseas one year. He then worked with a landscaper
before moving to the Atlanta area to work for a Security company.

Steve grew up to be an assistant coach under Mike Martin at FSU. The Seminoles
played in the College World Series in Omaha. Being an optimist, I had purchased
airline tickets two months earlier so than Virginia and I could spend a week at this
Classic event. After more than 5 years at FSU, Steve became head baseball coach at
Pasco-Hernando State College in Port Richey, Florida in 1991. In 2013, he became
               Athletic Director.

Just nine months after I was hired by Channel 4, our daughter, Wendy Gale, was born.
It was a blustery March day when I took Virginia to Baptist Hospital for her delivery.
We left the hospital five days later. It was a pleasant spring day when the high
temperature was 77 degrees and Wendy weighed 7 pounds, 7 ounces. She was like a
doll when we brought her into our home, very calm and seldom crying.
