Message from President Brown

elcome Back, Sorors! I pray that you had a safe, fun
and relaxing summer. I also pray that each an every
soror is willing and ready to continue fulfilling the
mission of Delta by providing IMPACTFUL service to
our service area.
I am excited about what the committees have planned for this year. The Political
Awareness and Involvement Committee started out the gates with voter registra-
tion, education and engagement activities at local football games and neighbor can-
vassing. The Leading By Example Cohort One members worked throughout the Inside
break to fine tune, The Kemba Plan. The plan has now been handed off to several The Torch
chapter committees to collaboratively implement. I thank the Fortitude Foundation Conference 2
Capsule
for serving as the principal sponsor of the three-day speaking tour by Soror Kemba
Elder Health 3
Smith-Pradia. To formally open the year, Membership Services planned and hosted Forum
the perfect event, Denims and Pearls, to welcome sorors back to a new year to Gee’s Bend 4-5
serve.
Welcome Back 6-9
Sorors, the chapter has exciting programs and events planned and we need each
member to step up and do her part to make our efforts successful. Be the TEAM Courtesies 10
that I know that we are...together each achieves more!
Birthdays 11
As we take care of our service area, it is important to me that we take care of our- Upcoming Events 12-13
selves. The concept of Sister Circles was introduced during the welcome back event.
#DELTACARE 14
Sister Circles will provide opportunities for us to connect with one another and make
sure that “we” are well. We will have 22 circles and encourage each to plan fun and Committee 15
inspiring opportunities to bond with sisters in their circle. It is not too late to sign Selection Form
up. If you are interested, see a member of the Membership Services Committee to
sign up.
I am looking forward to another IMPACTFUL year!
