Was chacha an elder brother or a chacha?
Or was it sometimes one and sometimes another?
Here is an incident, show I remember it, in which he played one role at one time and within minutes changed to being a chacha.
I must have been 8 or 9. Chacha came back from Delhi with a record of Sound of music for me. I loved the music and would love to sing it, rather badly. He must have thought that I would stop singing if I could listen to it.
That was the brother in him.
Harsh wanted it too. And as always, Mom said, let him have it.
I was really upset.
What do you think Chacha did?
Acting out the chacha role: he took me aside, said, give it to him for now. He does not like the music and will tire of it. Then you can have it back.
That is exactly what happened.
