UAE and Argentina discuss economic cooperation

The UAE and Argentina discussed cooperation in the elds of trade and agriculture, on the sidelines of the
World Trade Organization’s (WTO) Ministerial Conference, held in Buenos Aires from 10 to 13 December.

The UAE delegation held meetings with the delegations of Argentina, Panama, Ecuador, and Paraguay, as
reported by Emirates News Agency (WAM).

The Emirati Ministry of Economy under-secretary for foreign trade affairs, Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Saleh
stressed the UAE’s efforts to strengthen trade and economic relations with countries across the world to serve
common interests in the elds of development, agriculture, and animal husbandry.

The meeting saw discussions on strengthening bilateral relations between the UAE and Argentina in the elds
of trade and economy, Al Saleh added, noting that the Argentinian side stressed its keenness to bene t from
the UAE’s infrastructure and logistics to export Argentinian goods to the country, and the rest of the region.

Al Saleh also clari ed that during the meeting there were discussions with a number of Argentinian
businessmen and owners of companies, who work in the eld of agriculture and meat production, on receiving
the UAE Halal mark, WAM noted.
