UAE stresses importance of multilateral
trading system

The UAE has stressed the importance of the multilateral trading system in opening borders to facilitate
international trade.
The country’s undersecretary to the Ministry of Economy for Foreign Trade and Industry Affairs has
said the system provides a solid mechanism to settling trading disputes.
Speaking at the 11th Ministerial Conference of the World Trade Organisation in Buenos Aires,
Abdullah Al Saleh also said the model opens up the doors to investment.
He also stressed that the UAE is for greater transparency in the area of agricultural export limits and
restrictions.
