The signing of the agreement is the completion of the exerted
efforts of the Ministry of Economy and the Council of Small

and Medium-Sized Enterprises and Projects, SMEs Council,
which aim to create positive partnerships with various relevant

federal and local authorities concerned with the development
of a local entrepreneurship environment, to promote
entrepreneurship and support the country's development

goals, as part of the UAE Vision 2021.

Al Mansouri said that the Ministry and the SMEs Council have

placed building and raising the capacities of the country's
entrepreneurs on the top of their priorities, due to the
importance of this vital sector that represents the cornerstone

of economic diversi cation and sustainable development,
which the UAE is working on to promote its principles.

Al Qamzi highlighted the importance of the agreement in
encouraging innovative thinking among UAE nationals, by

training them and raising their awareness about the latest
developments in entrepreneurship. He added that SMEs are

the backbone of both Dubai's economy and the UAE's
economy while pointing out that the department is adopting
a clear policy, which aims to support and develop SMEs.
