                                       The Greenway Corridor serves as a River/Streamway buffer to:
                                       (a)  Protect water quality by littering and removing sediment, organic matter, pesticides and other pollutants from surface
                                        runoff and subsurtace flow through deposition, absorption, plant uptake, denibification or other processes
                                       (b)  Craate, enhance, and protect wildlife habitat and provide a corridor for the movement of a wide range of species
                                       (c) Protect and stabilize the riparian lands and reduce flood water velocity
                                       (d) Protect high quality plant communities, including upland woods.
