2013 President
Alice Hu
This year JCUAA celebrates its 34th anniversay with harmony & unity to
serve our local community. It’s truly an honor and privilege for me to be elected
in June as the incoming president of 2013, also served as first vice president in
2012 to work with 2nd VP Robin Liu for supporting President Karen Chen and
Chairman John Yang in 2012.
JUCAA is a non-profit organization entirely supported by volunteers. It
was established among various universities & colleges with nearly 40,000
members mostly first generation Chinese Americans here in Southern
California.
With this broad base task force, we often provide services & programs to
benefit the general public and reach out from young people to seniors through
out the year. At time of crisis, we’ll put our efforts together to help support not
only government agencies but other major non-profit organizations to work
together with our quick actions.
For the coming year of 2013, I will follow all the foot steps of many
past JCUAA presidents and chairpersons with their great leadership and
experience to go outside the box and explore with wider horizon. We’ll try
our best to make a difference with our continous efforts to address issues and
concerns, at the same time offering our talent and resources to service areas with
needs by setting goals with targets for our future missions and high hopes in the cost-
effective ways. I’m truly grateful and excited also looking forward to this new
opportunity to serve and work side by side in 2013. Many thanks to all of your
contributions. No doubt without you nothing can be done.
