made the distinction between the two, and psoriasis was given its own definition
                   in medical history.

Still, the stigma that surrounds psoriasis remains. More often than not, the red,
scaly and bleeding pustules keep psoriasis victims hiding their condition from
their friends and acquaintances. For those who suffer severely with the disorder,

trying to hide their unsightly outbreaks can leave them isolated and lonely.

Even worse than the emotional trauma (and let me assure you that psoriasis can
cause some major emotional upset in some people) are the physical aspects of
the disease. When continual outbreaks are present, the skin itself is at high risk
of infection. Psoriasis-induced arthritis is also a major complaint of sufferers.
This, combined with the pain of the pustules themselves, can leave some
                   patients fighting chronic pain.

                   Still, the dermatology industry is stumped by the underlying cause of psoriasis.           {10}

While many people think that it is a condition in and of itself, those who have
been studying the disorder for any length of time understand that it is the result
of other health concerns. In other words, it is an outward manifestation of an
                   inward problem.

Many researchers believe that when the kidneys and liver fail to flush toxins from
the body, they find a new way to escape – through the skin. This caustic
secretion of toxins through the skin can irritate or even “burn” it, causing the
flaking, itching, burning sensation and actual scaling of the skin. Then, to help to
protect and repair itself, crusty pustules are formed on the surface. These
outbreaks become recurrent, depending on how much toxic residue is left inside
the body. This happens because other internal organs cannot keep up with the
excretion of daily toxins, and an overload continues to build up until it is finally
released through the skin, causing this painful inflammatory response again and

                   again.
