You have an important role to play in
safeguarding your children’s mental health during
COVID-19 as your children return to school.
⚡ 81% of children aged 5-17 have experienced at least
one traumatic symptom during COVID-19 according to
research carried out by academics and researchers for
‘The Conversation’.
⚡ Mental disorders among children are described as
serious changes in the way children typically learn,
behave, or handle their emotions, causing distress and
problems getting through the day.
Resilience is the capacity to recover quickly from
difficulties.
Resilience is important because it helps to prevent
anguish, anxiety and stress by creating a positive &
supportive environment for children both at home
and at school as they enter the ‘new normal’.
Put simply, resilience is the ability to respond
positively to adversity.
