About Us
Creative Connections was founded in 2005 to meet
the growing need in New York City schools for college and career readiness training and programs that develop financial literacy and entrepreneurship skills.
We promote student aspirations and success through
our innovative CONNECTIONS PROGRAMS. Our staff holds decades of youth development experience, and seamlessly implements in-class, after school, and staff development programs in your school.
The results? Students discover possibilities beyond their classrooms and neighborhoods, acquiring skills that will equip them for success in school and life.
Our programs and curricula are:
– Specific, tailored to individual school and student needs – Interactive, encouraging all kinds of students to engage
with the world around them
– Innovative and evolving, based on our work in schools,
and on emergent research
– Facilitated by well-trained Success Coaches who are
role models in and out of the classroom

The knowledge and skills that students need to make college a reality: in two parts
CollegeConnections1 (CC1) CollegeConnections2 (CC2)
Many young people are unaware of the benefits of attending college, or are never taught the steps to finding a school that is right for them. College Connections helps middle and high school students develop action plans for their futures, and provides the support to make it happen.
COLLEGE CONNECTIONS 1 (CC1):
9th and 10th grade students are introduced to the benefits of a college education. They work with our Success Coaches to craft their action plans, arrange field trips to colleges, understand their transcripts, and become college-ready students.
COLLEGE CONNECTIONS 2 (CC2):
11th and 12th graders learn how to apply to colleges and secure loans and scholarships. Our Success Coaches help students assess their academic standing and financial situations, submit three college applications, and prepare for the social and emotional demands of college life.
