 A flat shape.

 We look at the number of sides that each

shape has and the number of corners.

 When we talk about 2D shapes, we talk

about sides and angles.

 The angles of a 2D shape are also sometimes

referred to as 'vertices' (singular: vertex).

 A corner is where 2 sides meet.
