CONSERVATION
Commission
Edward Medeiros resigned from the Commission this year.
The Commission is very grateful for his contribution of
service to the Community and the Commission. He has a
wealth of knowledge of both the Wetlands Protection Act
and the Town of Middleborough. The Conservation
Commission would also like to thank Mr. Medeiros for
continuously working with them to obtain 52.8 acres
of land of of Thompson and Precinct Street.
The Conservation Commission meets the first and third
Thursday of the month at 6:45pm. A meeting schedule
can be found on their website. As Middleborough
continues to experience a major growth surge, it is
vitally important that we protect our wetlands. Please

questions, concerns or comments.

Diane Stewart stepped down from being Chair, but still

remains on the Commission, and Nancy Ockers was
appointed Chair. The Commission welcomed two new
Commissioners, Cameron Curney and Bart Devine.

The Commission would like to thank member Bart Devine
for representing them on the Community Preservation
Committee, as Nancy Ockers stepped down from

The Commission and staf would like to thank those who call
or stop by with questions. They try to work with the public to
protect the resources that, in turn, protect our town. We take
our public service responsibilities seriously and we welcome
your questions and comments.
