also worked at the Police Assisted Addiction and

a tremendous asset to this department and was
immediately welcomed and embraced by our
employees as she is one of the kindest, most
professional, positive, empathetic and loyal
employees. Her passion, enthusiasm and
incredible dedication inspires us all and is helping
us to succeed and accomplish our goals.
In the spring of 2024, we established a Wellness
Working Group. The Wellness Working Group is
comprised of Assistant Human Resources Director
Hannah Greene, Grant Writer Stephanie Hall, Town
Clerk Pamela Menconi, Health Agent Kayla Smith,
Public Health Nurse Nicole Mello, Director of
Planning and Community Development Leeann
Bradley, Veterans Agent Stephen Adelman, Director
of Mental Health Joshua Porter and I. Our group is
dedicated to developing new initiatives that support
the health and well-being of Town of
Middleborough employees. The group meets
monthly to discuss new ideas, plan wellness
activities, and discuss ways to better support
employee health. Each month, the HR department
shares a Wellness Newsletter with information on
upcoming events, new wellness initiatives, and
more. Since June, the newsletter has covered topics
such as hydration, exercise, nutrition, mental
health, sleep improvement, and stress reduction.
The group has made tremendous strides in
improving employee engagement and increasing
employee satisfaction.
Continuing education is an integral part of working
in Human Resources. Hannah and I are also
members of Massachusetts Municipal Human
Resources Association (MMHRA), Massachusetts
Municipal Association (MMA), South Shore
Municipal Human Resources Group, and Society for
Human Resources Management (SHRM). We
