Our Richard Bentham in the MCN
Our very own BAM member Richard Bentham, IAM RoadSmart Observer, featured in the
30 Jan 2019 Motorcycle News. Under the heading of ‘Winter Warriors’ the article
discussed how #Ride5000miles members ride all year round and braved the freezing
temperatures.
Richard gave his advice on suitable clothing he wears underneath his jacket and trousers.
Recommending thermal base layers, a motorcycle made balaclava incorporating flat
seams and a windproof neck snood.
With a mixture of brand clothing thermals for top and bottoms, even if they’re from Aldi
or Go Outdoors the thermal layers in your jacket and trousers are priceless during the
cold winter days. Richard also recommends the Pinlock anti-fog insert lenses for the
premium fog resistant solution for his helmet.
Finally, gloves, apparently Richard has a pair of Frank Thomas gloves that have lasted him
15 years!!
