Originally a scientist studying
Gavish now creates handmade prints of architectural landscapes in the manner of the crystals she used to research. In her Crystal Architecture series, she creates mixed-media works on paper, deconstructing geometries of architectural structures and natural crystals. She rearranges her photography-based images of high-rise city buildings where she has lived into arrays of geometries overlapping images of natural crystals. She builds them into patches of scaffoldings of rows of win- dows and columns that parallel the crystalline axes.
