“Ifirst began creating artwork with words after an illuminating session of finger-painting. I had never fully understood the importance of abstract work until I was there, moving the paint
on the canvas, recording the mood of the moment, in play. Word and form arose from my desire to put a tangible, understandable purpose to abstract art, so that artist and audience would be fully connected by both visual and linguistic languages. As public fasci- nation around my artwork grew, I began reworking my high-resolu- tion scans in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator to create designs for wall-to-wall murals, textile projects and glass applications.”
