2. Build Understanding

Have students who easily finished the first problem make solid figures number 1, 2, and 6.
While making each solid, have them find out what kind of plane shapes are used and count how many
faces it has.
Example: Make solid figure 2 using Magformers. What kind of plane shapes are the faces?
Answer: 2 hexagons and 6 rectangles.
