Development Progress of the Concept of Distance
Distance is the measurement of how far apart objects are, and it depends on the starting point. Have the
students first use their location to determine what is close or far. Then, gradually have them use other locations
to compare distance. Have the students use not only themselves but other objects and other people as well to
determine what is close and far from each location.
