Let’s make rectangles by placing Cuisenaire rods according to the rolled
fractions.

Measure- 1. Make two dice by using the fraction die activity sheet. Then place five different
ment Kit colored Cuisenaire rods and two dice in the middle of the table. Each player
prepares a rectangle activity sheet.

2. Decide who will go first. In your turn, roll the dice and make a fraction by using
the rolled numbers where the greater number is the denominator and the less
number is the numerator.
3. On the activity sheet, place the Cuisenaire rods side by side as the fraction you
made. The Cuisenaire rods cannot be replaced.
4. If the rolled numbers are the same, take one placed rod out and roll the dice again.
If there is no rod to take out, the other player takes a turn.
5. Take turns playing the game in the given time. The player who completes more
rectangles wins.
