1st– a unanswered question after WWII : how to deal with thousands of

2nd–Migram’s experiment : asked subjects to give an electric shock to the
person in the other room (an actor) whenever he gave a wrong answer ->
most of the test subjects heard his screaming but continued to give the
electric shocks after Milgram allowed them to do it ->
3rd– Result : showed a wish to obey authority , changed the way psychology
experiments are conducted because severe emotion stress of subjects
although they knew they didn’t hurt anyone

After WWII, a controversy arose over thousands of German soldiers killing a
large number of innocent people. Milgramwanted to answer this question with
an experiment. He asked subjects to give an electric shock to the person in
the other room whenever given a wrong answer. Subjects could hear him
scream and were afraid but kept giving an electric shock once they got
permission from Milgram. Shockingly, the power of the electric shocks often
reached lethal levels. It revealed that people inherently submit the authority
even when they do not think it right. After the experiment, Milgram assure
those subjects that the experiment was not real. Although they got to know
the fact, most suffered a lot from guilty feelings and severe emotion stress.
