Finding Cuisenaire rods

Let’s find the Cuisenaire rods that are the same length as the rolled
number.

Materials: Cuisenaire rods, Die (1-12)

1 Prepare the Cuisenaire rods and die.

2 Roll the die. Estimate the length of the rolled number and take the
Cuisenaire rod as you estimated. If the rolled numbers are 11 or 12, join
two Cuisenaire rods along their edges to make the length.

I got 11.
I have to join two
Cuisenaire rods together

to make 11 cm.

3 Measure the length of the selected Cuisenaire rod(s) using a ruler given on
the activity sheet.
