Let’s place the numbers from 1 to 5 and find the sum.
Materials: 1 Mini-calculation board, 2 White number chip sets (1-5),
1 Operation chip (＋), 26 Addition number chips (2-10), 1 Sandglass
1 Prepare the mini-calculation board, addition number chips (1-5), white
number chips, operation chip ( ), and sandglass.
2 Place the operation chip ( ) on the board where the first row and the
first column intersect.
3 Shuffle five white number chips from 1 to 5 facedown. Select four chips
and place them in the first row.
4 Repeat step 3 placing four white number chips in the first column.
