1 The students in Ryan’s class are sitting in a circle. If the ninth student
and the thirty-fifth student are sitting directly across from each other,
how many students are in Ryan’s class? Note that the students are
sitting at equal distances from each other.
2 Streetlights are being installed at every 30 m along both sides of a
300-m bridge. Emergency phones are being installed at every 15 m. If a
phone cannot be installed where there is a streetlight, find the total
number of streetlights and phones that are needed.
