Setting the time
Let’s set the time on a demonstration clock.
Materials: Demonstration clock, Two dice (1-12, 00-55)
1 Prepare the demonstration clock and the dice.
2 Roll two dice at the same time. Note that if the rolled number on the die
numbered 00 to 55 is less than 30, roll the die again.
3 Set the time on the demonstration clock as the rolled numbers. Write the
time in the next page.

4 Read the time in different ways and set the time on the demonstration
clock. Then write how you read the time in the next page.
Example A quarter has 15 minutes.
You can read the time in
15 minutes different ways, two forty-five,
fifteen minutes before three,
or quarter to three.
