Find the pattern and draw the missing figure.
Finding Patterns
There are patterns that students can find in their daily lives. Patterns that can be found naturally include the
repetition of lines on a crosswalk, repetition of a daily schedule, the change from day to night, etc.
Have the students look for patterns on their own. Allow them to observe various patterns and arrangements to
find characteristics of different patterns.
Patterns develop creative and critical thinking to gain insight of our environment and help train predicting
ability.
