Materials: 2 Create Expression activity boards,
4 Number chip sets (0-9), 2 Operation chip sets (+, -)

Let’s make a number sentence by using the number chips given by an other
player.

Number 1. Shuffle four number chip sets from 0 to 9 face down and place them in the
Battle middle of the table.
2. Each player takes one Create Expression activity board and one operation chip
set (＋,－).
3. Each player makes an addition or subtraction sentence by using one operation
chip and five to seven number chips. Then write the number sentence without
showing it to the other player.
4. Take all the chips out from the board and swap them with each other.

5. Each player makes a number sentence by using the chips given by the other
player.
6. The player who makes a number sentence correctly first wins. Note that the
number sentence may differ from the number sentence that is made by the
other player. The player who makes an incorrect number sentence before
swapping the chips loses.
