The Salons in Paris changed over time. Until the late 19th century, the heart of
art world in Paris was the Paris Salon. The Salon of Paris grew famous but stick
to the conservative styles to maintain its fame. Therefore, rejected artists
formed another salon called it the “Salon of Rejects”. However it wasn’t enough
to satisfy new and fresh styles. Thus, some people formed Salon des
Independents to accept new styles of art. Some now-legendary- painters also
showed their works in this exhibition.
