Then life had more lessons for me to learn. I thought I had already learned what pain and loss were when Gary Burg died, but that was a mere joke compared to the intensity of the loss of my little sister, Robin, and her newborn child, Victoria. They were killed when Robin’s car was hit by a train, five days before Christmas. Robin was killed instantly and Victoria died later that night. My life ended again, but this time the battle to survive had become harder without Robin.
