Assessors Report
The Australian All Breeds Tour 2020
– the road to success
The AABT 2020 from my point of view as a
classifier was, to say it upfront, very sasfying! I
have been extremely surprised and overwhelmed
by the extraordinary quality of foals, ponies and
horses presented to me while traveling the whole
connent again.
This year, for the first me since I started assessing horses and ponies in Australia in
2018, I had to admit that Australia is starng to catch up with other top-breeding
naons. From well-bred and top-groomed miniature horses, outstandingly confirmed
and moving German Riding Ponies and their derivaves, performance-oriented Pintos
and Shagya Arabers to high-end Warmblood Sport Horses: the range of good to
excellent horses was significantly beer than throughout the last years. And all this
despite the drought, the fires, the floods and finally the corona virus, which forced
me to leave Australia earlier than planned.
I would like to express my deepest respect for each and every one who made this
tour a success story. Namely Mrs. Tanya Hosford, who, once again, took the burden of
organizing the tour and taking care of me throughout these excing weeks.
I would also like to encourage you, Australia’s horse breeders, to connue the path
you are on concerning your breeding programs, although there is always room for
improvement. You are on the right track!
Please do not hesitate to contact me directly, if you have any quesons regarding
your personal breeding program, since I am always available to support you!
Kind regards
