2017 Talent Contest Grand Prize Winners

Lissette Ortiz is a Retail Associate Manager in Brooklyn, NY and has been with T-Mobile for
4 years. When she’s not donning magenta, she is a full-time recording artist, entertainer,
performer and rap star. Hip hop music played a major role for Lissette growing up and inspired
her to begin rapping at the ripe age of 6. As a teenager she put together her first independent
EP and has since caught the attention of numerous record labels. When asked what her favorite
thing about working at T-Mobile is, Lissette said she is very proud to work for a company where
she can be herself and have the complete support of her colleagues.

James Babsky is a Retail Sales Associate in Brooklyn, NY and has been with T-Mobile for 5
years. James credits T-Mobile for providing one of the best job opportunities of his life and
providing him with teammates who’ve become like family to him. In addition to being an RSA,
James’ focus is on music. He has been producing and writing music for over 12 years and
learned all he knows from his mother, a classically trained pianist and published poet.

DOUGLAS BAKO
2017 Talent Contest “CEO Pick”

Douglas Bako is a Retail Sales Associate in Skokie, IL and has been with T-Mobile for two and
a half years. In addition to enjoying his job and spending time with his teammates, Douglas is
focused on developing his music career. Following in his father’s footsteps, Douglas began
playing the guitar at ten years old and soon began developing his singing and beatboxing skills.
His goal is to take his music career as far as it can go and hopefully become the next big thing.
