4. HIGHLIGHTS OF PROGRAMMES AND ACTIVITIES TO SUPPORT
STUDENTS’ INVOLVEMENT IN THE COMMUNITY (2018-2019)

 30th Anniversary Overseas Expedition

In the summer of 2019, 18 students, 4 teachers and the Principal embarked on an
expedition in Kyrgyzstan with the aim to promote social inclusion and humanity.
The expedition team helped a wheel-chaired child, an autistic patient and a
visually-impaired elderly reach 3300 meters above sea level at Altyn-Arashan Gorge.
Prior to the trip, all students completed a series of training, including mountaincraft
skills, fitness and endurance training for this extraordinary mission. All participants
were exhilarated and overwhelmed when they overcame a myriad of difficulties
along the way.
