Professional Women’s
Forum Update
by Alycen A. Moss - Chair
The Professional
Women’s Forum
(“PWF”) continues
to offer women
lawyers a platform to
build relationships
Alycen A. Moss
and enhance their
professional goals.
It has expanded its membership
over the last year, and has offered
in-person opportunities to meet
at both the Winter Meeting and
Annual Meeting. Through these
meetings the PWF has been
able to expand the professional
opportunities and growth of the
women participating.
At the 2024 Annual meeting in
Toronto, The Honorable Cynthia
M. Rufe spoke to us. Judge Rufe
has been a Judge of the United
States District Court for the
Eastern District of
Pennsylvania since 2002. Judge
Rufe discussed her path to the
bench, mentoring and sponsoring
in the legal profession, and finding
your path. She was incredibly
inspiring! At the 2025 Winter
meeting in Charleston, the PWF
hosted a lunch at High Cotton.
The lunch sold out in a matter of
minutes, and it was a great social
and networking event.
The PWF has planned a Happy
Hour at the 2025 Annual Meeting
in Park City in conjunction with
the Diversity Committee. It will
take place on Wednesday, July
30, 2025 from 5:30PM to 6:30PM
in the President’s Suite in Stein
Eriksen Lodge. We are also
planning upcoming programming
to discuss pay equality and salary
negotiations, business
development strategies for women
attorneys, developing allies, and
work-life balance.
If you are not a member of the PWF,
please join on the FDCC website
so that you can be on the listserv
to get all communications about
events. Please contact Alycen Moss
at amoss@cozen.com for any
questions or ideas that you might
have for the PWF. We hope to see
you at an upcoming meeting!
Alycen A. Moss is a member of the
FDCC Board of Directors and a Defense
Counsel Member. She is a Partner and
Vice-Chair – Global Insurance Department
at Cozen O’Connor in Atlanta, Georgia.
