  OFFICIALS EDUCATION
AND DEVELOPMENTS
Mark Grist Head of Technical Officials
Basketball WA introduced the Green Lanyard initiative for State Champs and Titles in 2023.
Basketball WA is introducing measures to encourage our basketball community to display positive behaviour towards junior officials. If their lanyard is green, they're under 18.
Australian Junior Championship
Basketball WA sent several referees to National championships throughout 2023.
While our youngest officials may be the ones highlighted in this campaign, it is important to remember to display positive behaviour towards ALL officials.
This initiative will be introduced by Basketball WA during State Championships.
Don't forget - There is no excuse for abuse!
