          STATE TEAMS
To all our 2020 Team Officials, your contribution
to our High-Performance program was certainly
appreciated, thank you.
A significant thank you must also go to the State Team Assistant Coaches, Campaign Coaches, Team Managers, and the Physiotherapists who accompanied the teams for their enthusiastic efforts in liaising with Basketball WA to ensure a smooth Championship for players, coaches, and parents.
Due to COVID-19 the U18 and U16 Australian Junior Championships were cancelled and rendering our U18 and U16 state teams unable to compete against their peers. BWA did put on an event later on in the year to acknowledge and reward our teams for their efforts in the lead up to the cancellation of the tournaments.
We would also like to thank the parents of our athletes for their continual sacrifices to ensure our State Teams can be as competitive as possible.
Congratulations to all players who represented WA at the 2020 Australian Junior Championships.
The Ivor Burge Women’s team were able to capture a Bronze medal in Canberra at the U20 and Ivor Burge Championships in Canberra. Matt Harding and team did great job representing WA and did us proud.
Ruby Vlahov from our U18 Metro Women State team was invited to attend the NBA Global Academy tournament held in America during the NBA All-Star weekend. Unfortunately, this event was cancelled due to COVID-19.
