CITY VS COUNTRY
Due to Basketball Australia cancelling the
U18 and U16 Junior National Championships for 2020, we were able to put on our traditional City v Country games on.
This was a celebration and acknowledgement of the achievements of the athletes and coaches for being selected to represent their State. The day started with presentations and the U16 games which were then followed by the U18’s playing against each other. It may not have been the bookend everyone was hoping for but it was great to get everyone together for one last time and compete as a team as they were selected to do.
Basketball WA is working hard to implement strong structures and sound processes to ensure the continued development of Referees at the elite end of our sport. This will only strengthen the development of our game on the court moving forward. Basketball WA looks forward to seeing continued growth in this program throughout 2021 and beyond.
