The role of the Department of Sport’s Regional Talent Development Programs (RTDP), along with Regional Academies continue to assist regional athletes and coaches. Basketball WA athletes received support from the Peel Regional Academy of Sport (PRAS), the Mid West Academy of Sport (MWAS) and the Great Southern Sports Talent Association (GSSTA).
NATIONAL PERFORMANCE PROGRAM
This program continues to cater for the top tier of athletes within WA that have been identified to have the potential to represent Australia. The NPP continues to provide support to those athletes striving towards National Representation.
In consultation with Basketball Australia, the following athletes were awarded NPP scholarships:
• Jayda Clark (Warwick)
• Grace Foster (Willetton)
• Savannah Metcalfe (Perry Lakes) • Kiara Waite (Willetton)
• Monique Williams (Willetton)
• Tom Snelgrove (Perry Lakes)
• Charlie Dimmock (Cockburn)
• Taro Fradd (Perry Lakes)
