   Although, in 2022, BWA did not have the presence of a Development Officer in the Pilbara, participation in basketball still continued to grow with BWA programs implemented during the year.
BWA HIGH PERFORMANCE
High Performance Sessions took place as part of the Karratha Cyclones Selection Camp in lead up to the Country Championships held in Perth for the Under 12's - Under 18's Boys and Girls. This took place over two days in September with over 200 participants taking part.
CLINICS
A series of clinics also took place in November in:
• Roebourne
Roebourne Primary school (8 participants);
• Port Hedland
Under 14's -Under 18's Development (25 participants);
• Karratha
State Performance Program and High Performance Under 14's - Under 18's (10 participants).
SCHOOL SLAM SERIES
School Slam Series was held in Karratha which saw participation from 8 primary schools in the area which consisted of 14 teams and 118 participants.
Karratha High School Refereed and scored the day.
COACHING CLINICS
Damian Barr (BWA's Coach Education and Development Manager) facilited a series of clinics which took place in the following areas:
• Karratha (1 and 2 Feb) - Coaching Clinics. As well as mentoring, attending Country Champs, trial/ training, SPP athlete session.
• Port Hedland and Karratha - Coaching Clinics. As well as skills and drills clinics in both towns).
• Newman, Paraburdoo and Tom Price - Coaching Clinics. As well as Community Coaching courses, Club Coaching courses, plus skills and drills clinics).
REFEREE COURSES
A series of Referee Courses were run in the Pilbara region, with six in total conducted.
Two courses were also conducted in Newman and Karratha as well as 1 in Tom Price and 1 in Roebourne.
