Table top role-playing is a hobby that dates back to the 1970s. It is an interpersonal storytelling game that takes place around a table, where each participant plays
the role of a hero in a saga told by a ‘game master’ or ‘dungeon master’, the storyteller. It is similar to the best computer RPGs with the game master being the one
who runs the game world and story in which the other players participate. Played with or without a battle map and miniatures, you become the hero in an evolving
story lived in your imagination and through your interaction with the other players.
CAS elements
The game has been proven to develop interpersonal and problem-solving skills, not to mention the ways it involves people in memorable stories that last a lifetime.
It stimulates inquiry into history, archaeology, myth and science, while promoting reading, vocabulary and creative thinking.
