Concept

Imitate a caterpillar’s chrysalis stage. The enclosure acts as
a transitional state as the body emerges from the chrysalis it
becomes reborn reconnecting with nature..
Challenges
This was the first time any of my group members and I built a full
scale model from the designed we created.
Sowing was the most difficult part for our team because the
pattern was so intricate. We also added a mesh screen with
Velcro flaps for windows and the entry way door which added
to the difficulty.
Goals

Create an environment that allows visitors to experience
a close and comfortable sensation that connects both
the interior and exterior spaces with the body.
Solutions
This structure is stationed between two trees helping to create
the impression of tension as one enters through the space.
Upon procession through the vesture, one will experience a
combination of compression and intimacy.
