Concept
- The concept for naked sole was inspired by my old cheer shoes.
I took elements and principles of design from the multiple layers
of transparency, and the characteristics from each layer.
Challenges
- The existing building had cross bracing that we could
not change, thus the need for a design that works with the
structure.
- The lower Level of the building was a challenge to provide
natural light into the space while not disrupting the other
occupants of the building.
- That the design is appropriate and inclusive to all the
occupants
Goals
- Create an engaging fun, yet professional environment that is
adaptable to different situations.
- Provide adequate lighting for the lower level employees
- Incorporation of High Tech equipment integrated with the interior
Solutions
- Open up the lobby floor for a connection with the lower and
upper office spaces, use that area for display also.
- The use of carpet as way finding, as well as providing color
that stimulates the employees regarding specific task
