Last August, the Transfer Sta- tion began recycling corrugated cardboard as part of an initia- tive to implement more sustain- able waste practices. This is the result of an effort by the town’s Sustainability Committee and the Transfer Station Supervisor, Mark Bucklin, that started in 2020.
Over the next year, members of the Sustainability Committee and the Transfer Station Super- visor spent many hours visiting area transfer stations and equip- ment vendors to determine the best solution for the new initia- tive.
