It’s hard for me to compre- hend, how in less than a centu- ry’s time, that the Jewish/Israeli people allowed another “Holo- caust Like” massacre to occur again, only this time it was on the homeland that was estab- lished in part as a preventative measure to ensure that this type of atrocity never occurred again!
As a person with a military mindset, it is unfathomable to me that this type of atrocity was allowed to take place. In part I believe that an incredible lack of situational awareness on a colossal scale is to blame. I have loosely served with elements of the Israeli Defense Force and found them to be a competent ,potent force more than ade- quate to prevent the events that took place on October the 7th.

I am covering this subject because after reading the re- cent written media and watch- ing the talking heads on the local and national so called news broadcasts, I haven’t seen or heard anyone discuss this very topic?? Why weren’t the Israelis prepared for this?? Why weren’t the Israeli citizens armed to the teeth and trained in at least basic marksmanship? It was a target rich environ- ment that day, even a poorly trained citizenry would have been better than running and hiding in a bomb shelter wait- ing and hoping that someone would come save them from the second coming of the Holo- caust. Again, as I have stated in the past, hope is not a strategy, take action, be prepared and ready to act. I know that this is a controversial topic, but it is one that I have been pondering
since the atrocities of that fate- ful October 7th day. As General James Mattis famously once said, Be polite, be professional, but have a plan to kill every- body you meet, a bit dramatic, but hopefully you get the point. If you lived in a neighborhood full of satanic terrorists hell
bent on erasing you and you kind from the planet, wouldn’t you be slightly concerned and better armed and trained for such an event?
Some of the attacks on that day took place a stone's throw from the Gaza strip and the home of Hamas, it is stunning to me that anyone could relax and “hope” that they never came calling. (there's that word again, Hope). I hate to be a
Debbie downer or a Buzzkill, but this type of BS may be visiting a town or a street near you at some point, hopefully not! There’s that damn “H” word again. With the open borders policy that is preva- lent these days, who knows what’s coming across there and into the interior? Let’s hope they’re all good and de- cent people with the best of intentions. As Edmund Burke once said, and it was repeated by the late great JFK, “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.” I think
they were onto something there. Just a thought amongst many random thoughts lately. Don’t be that guy, lose the rose colored glasses and see the world for what it is, based on what is ac- tually taking place in our cities and towns as of late. Announce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, I always say, sometimes. What do you think??
