Start the Year off with Fierce Spirit Fitness
By lauRa BRusseau
Five years ago, after serv- ing over a decade as a law enforcement agent specializ- ing in sexual assault, domestic violence, and child abuse, Jen Adams made a choice to help the community in another way and saw a need in the greater Franklin area to support fitness in a mind, body, and spirit con- nection. So she started Fierce Spirit Fitness.
Jen is a certified life coach, Ace Certified Fitness Trainer, Ace Certified Health Coach, and nutrition specialist.
Fierce Spirit Fitness offers group fitness classes, individ- ual training, and life coaching. Jen works with men, women, families, teens, local schools, and organizations! She is trauma-informed and has nu- merous years of helping build confidence and resilience so individuals can be their best selves.
Jen offers classes Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday mornings from 5:30 AM to 6:15 AM and on Sat- urday mornings from 7:00 AM to 7:30 AM. These classes are offered via zoom or in person at Bessie Rowell Community Center. In the summer, classes are held at Odell Park. Classes consist of strength and cardio. In the spring, a run/walk club takes place Tuesday nights at 5:30 PM.
If you have a friend who doesn’t live in the region, you can still be workout buddies and do the zoom options! For
each class, whether in person or via zoom, you should have a yoga mat, light weights, heavy weights, resistance bands, and a water bottle.
Jen’s classes are set up for long-term health and wellness. She meets everyone where they are on their journey. She says, “Keep it simple. Work on your mindset, tune into your heart, believe in yourself, show up, build habits and be consis- tent, and the rest will fall into place.”
Jen also offers life coaching. She says, “I see the power- ful impacts that coaching has on individuals, families, and groups. I’ve seen relationships transformed, I’ve seen peo- ple master healthy lifestyle changes, I’ve seen people im-
plement life-changing ways to manage stress and anxi- ety, I’ve seen amazing weight loss transformations, and I’ve seen abusive cycles stop.” As a coach, Jen said that she and her clients will walk the self-de- velopment journey together in the most meaningful and ful- filling way. In addition, she will support, encourage, guide, and hold accountability.
If this is the year you want to start your fitness journey, continue a fitness routine, put yourself first, be chal- lenged, or work on personal growth, reach out to Jen at 603.630.1383, email her at fiercespiritfitness@gmail.com or check out her website at www.fiercespiritfitness.com
