on Valentine's Day but all year, are my children, their spouses and four special little people whom I nicknamed “Wing- man,” “M&M,” “Gronk” and “YaYa.” They really are what love is all about!
May you all have the oppor- tunity to enjoy the loves in your life this February, too!

small mountains of snow up top, which we then packed down to create taller “launch pads” lead- ing down four or five banked trails that the kids helped us carve out. They gave all the trails names, lined them with small flags from the U.S. and other nations (it was a Winter Olympics year) then spent hours screaming down the trails. Quite

As we embrace the chilly win- ter months, it's the perfect time to explore some real estate scenar- ios you might face. A key focus of mine is selling estate proper- ties, and a significant part of this process often involves emptying out the home. This challenge isn't exclusive to estate sales; if you're relocating or downsizing, you might find yourself in a sim- ilar situation. For families deal- ing with the loss of a loved one,
frankly though, I think my friend and I had even more fun than they did!.
Skiing was also fun but since I worked at Gunstock in my younger days, typically 12-13 days in a row, I only occasion- ally headed out to ski elsewhere onmyonedayoff.Ididlove strapping on Cross Country skis however and heading off on
quiet trails through the woods near my home. No crowds, no lift ticket necessary.
Ice fishing- well, I love to fish but I have a long-story phobia about lake and pond ice that keeps the sport off my to-do list now; it used to be fun though. Today I just enjoy heading over to the Webster Lake or Alex- andria Ice Fishing Derbys to
take photos and write a story from their leader board on terra firma.
I guess cuddling up with a good movie on a snowy day, grilled cheese and tomato soup, hot cocoa and especially a bon- fire with friends wrap up the rest of my loves of February.
Oh but wait! The best fulfill- ment of love in my life, not only
Estate Sales and Downsizing
clearing out and selling a house can be an emotionally heavy or- deal. It’s a demanding task that can take quite some time, espe- cially when there’s a lot of be- longings to sort through. My first suggestion is to consider renting a storage unit for a set period, like a year. This can make the cleanup and downsizing process much easier. In the case of an estate sale, you can box up sen- timental items and important paperwork to revisit when you’re ready, allowing you to prioritize larger items for a quicker resolu-
tion. Next, think about donating items that can find a new home. Many charities offer pickup ser- vices for donations and allow you to claim a tax deduction, which can be especially helpful for estate sales where taxes are a factor. Another option is joining Facebook “buy nothing” groups, where you can give away items for free. If you're up for it, the Facebook Marketplace is also a great place to sell more valuable items and furniture. Even if your goal is simply to declutter your own space, these strategies can
be incredibly useful. If you have questions about selling estate properties, feel free to reach out
